Drill Team
DRILL TEAM
The Drill Team is an exciting extension of the discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills learned in class. The team performs at all the JROTC ceremonies and inspections and competes at area competitions. Teams can be male, female, or mixed. When they participate in local competitions, they confer as much pride on their school as varsity team sports.
Different Events at Drill Meets are:
1. Color Guards
2. Squad Drill both armed and unarmed
3. Platoon Drill both armed and unarmed
4. Exhibition Drill

Typically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:45pm to 5:00pm
How long is the Season?
Drill season starts in November and ends in the middle of April.
How much does it cost?
The activity fee is currently set at $20 and this pays for uniform spiritware as well as meals at competitions.
How do I get on the team?
Contact the Drill Team Commander and let them know you are interested. You can find their name on the Command and Staff page of this website.
How can I prepare to be on the Drill Team?
Pay attention in class as we will be instructing the basics of Drill and Ceremony. Volunteer to be on Color Guards, Saber Guards and Ushering Details. Ask Senior Cadets to teach you some stuff and, yes, watch YouTube videos. Just search JROTC Drill Meets and a lot of videos will pop up.
