2025-26 Work-Based Learning Application Process

The 2025-2026 Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program will emphasize student preparation and career readiness, ensuring participants gain meaningful experience.

WBL APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 28, 2025

Standard WBL Requirements (On & Off-Campus)

To be considered, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a rising junior or senior on track for graduation
  • Secure two teacher recommendations (from the last two years)
  • Have reliable transportation for off-campus jobs/internships
  • Have no more than 10 days absent during the current school year and have no major disciplinary infractions
  • Have parental/guardian approval for entry into the program
  • Successfully pass a final-round video interview

 

Teacher Aides (On-Campus)

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (demonstrates responsibility and academic strength)
  • Completion of a relevant CTAE Pathway or currently enrolled in an advanced-level course in the subject they will assist in
  • At least one year of CTSO (Career & Technical Student Organization) experience or relevant job/volunteer experience.
  • Teacher Aides must facilitate peer instruction, gaining hands-on experience to prepare them for post-secondary success.

 

Office & Counseling Aides (On-Campus)

  • Must meet standard WBL requirements and secure a direct recommendation from their Counselor. 

 

Next Steps

Students proceeding to the final round will participate in a video interview. A Parent Information Session will be required for all accepted students as part of the onboarding process.
