Bio: Mrs. Miley is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Continuing her educational journey, she attended Nova Southeastern University and graduated with a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Administration, as well as an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum Instruction Management and Administration. She is approaching her twenty-second year of service as an educator and seventeenth year with Fulton County Schools.
Mrs. Miley is an innovative and collaborative leader with a passion for serving all students. Her exceptional experiences combined with her data-driven and strategic approach to teaching and learning have contributed to her overall success as a leader in elementary, middle and high schools in Fulton County. Her desire to continue serving, learning, and influencing more stakeholders in a larger context have led her to pursue challenging opportunities beyond her previous roles as a teacher, lead data support specialist, assistant principal and executive manager.
Mrs. Miley's previous roles: Principal (Sandtown Middle School), Principal (Asa Philip Randolph Elementary), Executive Manager for the Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Principal (Northview High) has allowed for opportunities to execute effective and responsive communication systems, structures of support, responsive and solution-oriented resolves, and a standard of executive leadership that has strengthened various school-based, district and community initiatives and partnerships.
Mrs. Miley takes great pride in serving as the number one advocate for all students and creating a strong working relationship with all stakeholders. Her data-driven, instructional approach to teaching and learning are supported by her educational philosophy that all students can learn and will learn in the right environment: a blended learning environment that is data-driven, rigorous, and relevant for each student. Her philosophy and keen sense of data analysis has contributed to leading school teams of teachers, staff and students to achieving great academic success.
Mrs. Miley became principal at Roswell High School in June 2022.
Mrs. Miley is a loving wife and the mother of three children whom she adores; twin sons, Jaylen and Jordan, and a daughter, Jade.
